Playgrounds

IPEMA fall-rated turf-over-foam systems for K–12 schools, churches, and HOAs.

A school playground install is engineered to a specific fall height. The play structure tells you what that is — a swing set rated to 6 feet needs a system certified to 6 feet under ASTM F1292. The whole system — turf, pad, fabric, base — gets certified together by IPEMA, not piece by piece.

We default to a 2-inch EPDM foam pad for residential play areas under most backyard structures. School playgrounds usually call for 3-inch pad or higher, because the structures are taller and the user counts are higher. We carry pad inventory in three thicknesses and we size per equipment list.

Most school installs are scheduled around summer break. We’ve delivered nine school playground projects in the last six years — six in Palm Beach County, three in Broward. Average install duration is five to seven days per site for a 3,000 to 6,000 square foot pad-and-turf system. Each install ships with the IPEMA certification on file at the district office.

Churches and HOA playgrounds run smaller — typically 800 to 2,000 square feet, two to three days on site, same certification process.
