Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club estate

Royal Palm Yacht estate, 1,800 square foot backyard green with three breaks and a chipping apron. The owner is a 4-handicap who plays at the club next door and wanted a practice surface that reads at the same speed.

We built the green on a sand-stabilized base shaped to the owner’s break preferences — a single right-to-left at the back, a subtle left-to-right at the front, and a ridge through the middle that splits the green into two distinct putting zones. Nylon short pile, sand-infilled, finished at a measured 10.8 stimp.

Chipping apron is a longer-pile fringe in a coordinated yarn — six feet deep on the high side, narrowing to two feet on the low. The seam between green and apron is invisible.
