Parkland play area

Backyard play surface for a Parkland family — 2,300 square feet around a two-story treehouse with a 7-foot fall height. IPEMA certification required at the building department for the structure permit.

We installed a 2.5-inch closed-cell EPDM pad below the turf, sized to the certified fall height. The pad runs the full perimeter of the structure with a six-foot run-out on the slide side. Surface is a knuckle-friendly monofilament, no infill, finished soft for hands and knees.

IPEMA certification cleared the building department on first submittal. Install duration: three days.
